Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 Complete Review
It has been quite a long wait we heard any thing from company that came in the market with a good marketing strategy along with reliable warranty, but those handsets were all entry level and did not get very huge success, one of the reasons was high pricing for lower range smartphone of that time, today even we do not call them to be smartphones they are just entry level phone's now. Company kept quiet and it seemed the company is gone or has just limited revenue to come back. But believe us after failure of Gfive to compete with Qmobile we were looking towards Voice, only for one reason and that being they release their phone with a reliable warranty, which none of Qmobile or Gfive has to offer, being very fair, clear and un-biased. This review is being written after a lot of searches to different companies, we checked Qmobile, we checked Gfive and we did check Huawei but if the quality was good pricing was high too, we should mention that pricing was not upto a level where it should have been as the companies were demanding too high for the worth their devices have.

Cost Of The Phone
One important thing we pakistani's must know is how are we getting these cheap phones? Qmobile, Gfive, or even few models of Huawei are cheap but not all, Huawei being an international brand always has a high pricing but less then other international branded phones. All the Quadcore phones provided by Qmobile cost between 70 to 85 Dollars when they are just coming out of the factory, and this device named as Voice costs 80-85 Dollars it has got some thing which is more capable compare to that of other brands, We will try to dig all those details for our readers. We would try our best to provide an unbiased review, No offense to other companies we have to take their names just because we have been expecting quality from them for a long time and we appreciate their work as they had been progressive over the days. We reviewed two Qmobile phones, checked others but did not feel like others had some thing better to be shown, to be very fair and we always said pricing is high for the quality we are getting. So here is one device which we will refer as satisfactory compare to other brand phones available for almost same or little higher price. But you know their is always chance for improvement so we will try to cover that in final verdict.
Design
The design of the phone is quite simple it neither is very bulky nor the slimmest but its round edges do provide feel of a smartphone that is bundled with all the feature you need for today's use.
The front of the phone has 4.5 inch QHD LCD IPS screen. Comparably large bezel space can be seen on the top and bottom . A 3MP front facing camera is located above the IPS display to facilitate video calling. Their is no LED notification light similar to Noir A900.
Below the screen lie three capacitive buttons for Android running devices and are sensitive enough and we have good remarks for it.
Moving over to the back of the handset we can see Xtreme V60 logo sitting proudly at the bottom of the handset. While VOICE logo can be seen in the mid half. The 12MP camera module and its accompanying LED flash is located towards the top left of the Android running phone.It has a removable back cover as expected under which you can spot the dual SIM card slots and a micro SD slot. Black color device has all front color as black while back cover is a glossy wheatish white or off white color. But company has provided a flip cover free with a leather like front and glossy black plastic back, which is shiny and we feel the grip of mobile is not that comfortable and it might be slippery for people who never used glossy back phone. Company should provide a matte black cover instead of white or add another matte finished one as they have done with Voice Xtreme Quadcore V70.
Memory & CPU
The phone comes packed with a mediatek MT6589 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. One benefit of the device is that it supports apps to be stored to SD card. So memory is not a big issue for this and you can install upto 32 GB card.
Display
The Voice Xtreme V60 has a 4.5 inch 540p or QHD IPS display(244.7PPI). The viewing angles are quite fair though not the best. Color reproduction is great and brightness of the IPS LCD screen is quite good for the normal use. This display has quite nice viewing angles. If you compare this is to current cheap model it has a right display among all but on the color reproduction and viewing angles Qmobile Noir A950 will take a lead but still its quite enough what you need.
Software
The Voice Xtreme V60 runs Android 4.2.1 under the hood with a custom UI layer on top. And their was no lag as their is no big change made to custom ROM and feels like using Stock android, The transitions are too fast and we are satisfied with them.
Gaming
Frontline commando, Real Racing 3, Dead trigger2, Virtual tennis, Subway Surfer, Temple Run 2, FIFA 14, Haunted Night, Candy crush Saga, Fruit Ninja
are the games we have played on this device and all work smoothly, so its a nice gaming device.

Synthetic Benchmark Scores
Nena Mark 2 Shows its really a good gaming device compare to all Qmobile phones.
Quadrant Standard Show its way up and it highly surprises us, as it is the same hardware as the Noir A900 but the OS may be its the OS that is highly optimised to keep the performance near 6589T, though the hardware is mediatek MT6589.

Camera
Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 is equipped with an 12 MP(4096 width *3072 height) camera that can also shoot Full HD video and thats also at 30fps. This is accompanied by a 3MP front facing camera. Our experience with the camera on the V60 was satisfactory considering the price point.
The camera module just pops out from a metal colored ring(we do not know its metal or colored plastic). An LED flash is located to the right side of the camera. Coming to the image quality, Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 manages to take pictures with good detail. The pictures are bright in day light. When comeing to the macro's we noticed the Camera pictures are to the colder side but over all it does look good. We will try to bring soon comparison pictures on our Facebook page.
Color production seems natural, but we did notice difference that we commonly see between a CCD type censor and CMOS censor, So we are assuming the camera has a CCD censor, We compare the camera parallel to Sony Xperia L to which we found the Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 captures more detail but lags in the brightness in the night condition, but overall even night pictures are quite ok for a mobile phone camera. Long pressing camera icon will capture continuos pictures, and you can select 40 or 99 pictures but it does not auto select the best picture, and selecting manually is a tugh jo for you :)
We have not compared the video quality till now, but we will soon try to post video comparison from Sony Xperia L and Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60.

Connectivity
Comes with Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS. Though their is only Assisted GPS and no Glonass.
Battery Life
Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 has 2050 mAH battery. Battery life is quite decent for an average user it will almost work for 1.5 days, but as this is only a guess and depends on the user. but for our usage. Sony Xperia L with one sim card and Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 gave us almost similar time, for similar usage. so we can say extra 300 mAH battery was used to power on the other sim card.

Continuous Wifi on for almost 18 hours, out of which 1 hr was continuous use of browsing else, updates from Fb, whats app, email all on,
calls and messaging was not too much but 1.5 hrs of game play, including candy crush, real racing 3, temple run 2, dead trigger
at the end of the day battery left is 15% the total duration is 18 hours, next test will be continuos use of internet with mobile data package instead of wifi, so stay tuned

Final Verdict
Voice Xtreme Quadcore V60 is a decent phone in terms of the capability. This phone actually fills the gap that was present in all the other phone models available by different companies with mediatek SOC but were lagging behind and that lag was due to the camera quality was not as good as expected with an 8 MP camera. We are very sure that its 12 MP camera is actually able to replace 8 MP camera usage of a branded phone users like's of Sony , HTC etc.
Finally we will say if you are OK with the little heavy weight, and need a mobile with better camera result along with gaming performance this phone is for you. But if you want a light weight phone along with better and slim design you have to go else where. For us this is a better device out of the competing devices and we actually say it is better device in terms of performance and rate it higher compare to others available, but we hope company will consider to improve back side cover that not be finger print magnet + slippery. and try to reduce its weight, along with the OK performance of the overall device present in this handset, for now this is handset for one of our TEKREVU members and will be in his use. He will inform his opinion about the phone later as well. So feel free to ask questions and we will try to answer our best.

I am currently using htc amaze which is still under brightex warranty (3 months remaining). Is it sensible to sell HTC amaze and buy voice v60? Which is better in terms of processing, camera, sound and ram consumption and utilization?
ReplyDeleteV60 will bebbetter replacement only in terms of gaming, second reason might be if you need dual sim, camera in V60 is 12MP but it has a CCD lens, though it covers more detail, compare to CMOS based HTC amaze camera it will not bring that much difference so you should go only for above 2 reasons we mentioned

DeleteI recently bought Voice V60. It's giving 14100 Antutu score and 61 Fps on Nenamark2. But it's lagging a lot. Although games run fast but they lag. Games like subway surfer aren't running smooth (unlike Qmobile A900 in which games run smoother). Any suggestion, why I am having this issue? Is it my device like that or your device has the same issue.
ReplyDeletehighly susceptible device , do share ur internal storage and ur scores with these benchmarks with us, secondly get ur device checked with csc, but do not directly get it software flashed until you are satisfied that the csc officer who is dealing ur issue understands ur problem and not just wishes to intertain ur problem by just flashing ur device with it recent updated software
Deleteour device never gave us problem, but remember the device we have is first batch device and you know for these chinese handset factories make them very well, bcz they have to make their customer(here in this case voice mobile) satisfied so as to keep next contracts with them :)
you can further have a look at our reviews that none of the game lags in our device so it makes ur device confirmed having some bug , but it is a software gitch that is likely to be replaced by true software flashing but not blindly doing thi sact with another similar one problem
