Motorola Moto G
The Motorola Moto G has been announced, and it is going to be available in many countries like Brazil and parts of Europe from today, the 8GB version costs $ 179. A dual sim version will also be available. The 16GB version will cost 20 dollars extra i.e $199. Motorola plans to make it available by jan 2014, to other 30 countries including Middle East Asia and India probably Pakistan as well
The Moto G is an affordable smartphone that also comes with water resistant coating. The hardware as well as the outer body is coated with some waterproof nano coating chemical so its water resistant upto certain depth.
The handset is powered by quad core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 cortex A7 clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU. The screen is 4.5 inches supporting 1280×720 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 1GB RAM, 8GB or 16GB (optional) internal storage, with no external card slot.
A 5MP AF rear with LED flash and 1.3MP front camera. This handset can record videos in 720p (HD) resolution at 30 fps.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS comes pre-loaded and the good part is that the Moto G will get the Android 4.4 Kit Kat upgrade. Other common features are 3G, 2G (GPRS/EDGE),FM Radio, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. There is proximity, accelerometer and magnetic sensors.
The back of the Moto G is removablewith 1,950mAh Li-Ion battery housing inside. Motorola is flaunting more speedy performance compare to S4 for basic talks and 30% more battery compare to Iphone 5S.
It will comewith variety of
colored backs including black, white, dark and light blue, pink, yellow
and red. Other accessories include flip covers and colored protective
cases in addition to JBL wireless speakers.
